I broke ground on the winter shelter this afternoon and set the first corner post.
It's cold, wet, windy, muddy and can never have enough firewood. Heh, looks like I Armor all'd the tires.
I believe I have enough 12 foot logs for one full wall(featured image). The one belowp0 is just to show how much time and back pain the new cart saves me.
I have finally put it off long enough. From the looks of things, I will be wintering out here in the woods. I need to get busy on my winter shelter and I'm way behind. To help, yesterday I packed in on my shoulders these lovely ten posts. Weird, they are designed for outdoor use... Continue Reading →

As I wrote yesterday, I left for the mountains a bit later than I would have hoped. I wanted to run a few errands before I headed out of town. I made it to FSRD 70 by 2:30PM and the gated road to get to Location #1 a few minutes later. I wouldn't have even... Continue Reading →
More like I am packing my truck. One of the things I enjoy doing to take a break is heading up into the mountains and sit by a campfire. Yes, I know it is winter time and where I'm going there may be snow. As you can see from the featured photo, I am not... Continue Reading →
